Hoping we can share knowledge on which restaurants are still open for take out, so we can support them. Thanks.

Can a flip through the Skip The Dishes app give a good indication?

Ah yes that’s a good start. Are all restaurants on skip the dishes?

If you don't see what you want on Skip, then it might be on DoorDash...

They've got Cactus Club (including Happy Hour food), Pagliacci's, Baan Thai, La Taqueria Pinche Taco Shop, Ferris Oyster Bar, Canoe Brewpub, Flying Otter Grille, etc..  Heck, you can even get pizza from "The Joint" on Wharf St.

We did Pagliacci's take-out last week, Sunday just before 6 PM, it was just surreal.  Customers, or more often the delivery guys, would wait in what's now a dance floor to pick up their order (shot on my wife's iPhone).

We've been doing more delivery lately, it's faster than usual with less traffic on the roads, and most places are offering free delivery or free with a minimum that is easily meet.  All take-out is packaged by the restaurant in a large paper bag that is folded closed at the top with multiple staples so you can be assured your food wasn't tampered with.  You could also argue the number of potential contamination points is less with delivery compared to a grocery store.  We like to order a couple of night's worth of food at a time.  If this is the end, I'm not going out eating canned beans.

A colossal meteor could reduce our planet to a lifeless smouldering pile of ash and we all know that out from under a rock would crawl Howie Siegel to open a hot dog cart.

Pags was doing a promo one day this week. Order a meal and a bottle of Skyy vodka and get a free Skyy vodka branded selfie stick. Good deal!

They put one in our take-out order bag.  Looks really nice, a remote trigger and all.  Thanks Pagliacci's!

Solomon is Howie’s son and a liquor rep in town. He’s also a bartender extraordinaire.

The new Indian restaurant (Bollywood style) Taj has pick up available. Amazing deal combos. #1 is chicken tikka and lamb byriany with raita and a chutney and a pop for less than $20 including tax and tip. Generous portions and very tasty. We tried it and went back a few days later to try the other combo. Plan on going again soon. We really enjoyed it.

We ordered a Dutch Bakery birthday cake today. Nobody's birthday--the occasion was "Thursday". It was good. A taste of familiar normalcy.

SenZushi is doing takeout and delivery.  Not sure what their delivery radius is.

You can order online and get take-away or delivery from Crust Bakery. Trying it out today. I really like being able to order online, pay online, and then just fetch the order. I hope this is continued at all these place once we return to some semblance of normalcy.

Matsuki An in Cadboro Bay village is open for take out. We have picked up dinner a few times and their food is excellent!
