Most of what's showing up in wastewater testing now is COVID so... yeh. 'summer flu'

Funny how the measures you despise have kept you from getting sick...

What measures? People have been standing in restaurants without masks for years now….

In your world everyone is spitting on everyone else? If I were you I would still be wearing a mask!

Well spitting is a little much.  You really don't understand what happens when people are talking do you?

Umm... mods?

On another note. Can we get a forum-wide moratorium on the word 'spittle' ?

I can try to use another word?  What would you like?

Say it, don't spray it. But yes, sure, talking and breathing in general expels stuff from your mouth.

Again, most people (excluding Seb) have moved on and don't care enough about the risk to wear a mask. The risk is considered very minor or even negligible to most.

Just be thankful the stigma of wearing a mask has been greatly reduced - though it isn't, and likely never will be, normal.

Yes most people have moved on..  It's just some people still make comments that masks do stop the spray from peoples mouths.  That's why this keeps coming up.

Wear a mask all you want. Just don’t force other people to.

I'm waiting for my natural measles immunity to kick in. Where can I go get gentle exposure to it?

When we were kids we were intentionally exposed to measles when it was going around.

We lived.

Measles fatality rate is 1/1000. Mostly immunocompromised individuals.

That said, get you and your kids the MMR vaccine. There is no downside. I know plenty of unvaccinated kids who have autism, so that link is debunked.

I’m not antivax by any means. Me and my 3 kids have every vaccine (except the mRNA genetic therapies, which are not vaccines at all).

Autism is a behavioural diagnosis with a long list of behaviours as options. Thus the spectrum. I know someone whose kid was diagnosed with autism because they checked some boxes. They were a mega genius so had issues. Reading and playing music at an extremely early age. Same diagnosis as someone in diapers at twelve banging their head all day. 🤷🏽

Yup, 1 in 36 kids in the US has autism.
