I do wonder if this will become Aryze's biggest rental project to date (by unit count)...

Edit: My reaction to was to the original rendering, not the revision! The new proposal looks pretty good and I'm happy to see that it is adding even nore density.

Today the T-C reported on this development and included quotes from Luke Mari at Aryze:

...Perhaps the rendering "icon" for this thread should be amended to reflect the updated proposal.
Still no updates to the image for this thread.

The six-storey project will now offer 95 rental units spread over two buildings on what is currently a large parking lot.
The proposal approved last year would have included large commercial and industrial spaces on the ground floor totalling 1,204 square metres. That space has now been cut back to 222 square metres.

When will Aryze move forward on its Catherine Street project? That was approved in 2021, I think.
Wasn’t this proposal at Catherine and Langford Street? Isn’t there a modular multi-story supportive housing building there now?

There were tenants that had wanted to use the space for production. It sounds like a custom design job. I guess they walked away, maybe due to how COVID changed the way we work.
...oh yeah, hence the initial name of the project as Factory Block.
