Honestly I prefer the Western Family ice cream to Island Farms brand.

Have you tried the mint chip for each? Night and day.

Believe they're both made here, but the recipes used for Western Family seem to be more premium.

I have the Western Family Signature whatever mint chip in my freezer now.  I haven't tried the Island Farms one, but this is the sort of ice cream you need to spend the extra to get the Haagen Dazs.  Just no comparison for texture and flavor.

We have switched to Chapman's chocolate chip cookie dough frozen yogurt, or black jack cherry.

Sure you just don’t think Haagen Dazs is better because you paid more?

There’s got to be more to it, like no growth hormones in the cows used for organic milk, surely?

Is it true they use the red milk for the chocolate milk?

They use that for the strawberry milk.  Which I can't find anymore :(

Positive.

And chocolate milk comes from brown cows, just for the record.

I spotted three jugs of Strawberry milk in the Urban Grocer last night. Get it before it is gone!

Western Family made some *Great* Nanaimo Bar flavoured icecream last summer.  I ate way too much of it than was good for my waistline..

Yeah, but those are 1%, if I'm going to drink strawberry milk I want the good stuff.

Or at least 2%.

Maybe it’s because the strawberries are already so thick? I always thought the strawberry was quite thick

I find it addictive, I pour one small glass, then another and then, oh what the heck go for the full on tumbler.

If it is addictive it might explain why humans are drinking milk from a cow.

Skim milk powder's a cheaper approach (drink just cold water for a while, then switch to using skim milk powder -- it'll taste as rich as a milkshake).

Did you know?  That if you take milk (or cream?) with your coffee, you increase your risk of several deadly diseases? [seems the milk weakens antioxidants' good impact on our bodies]

Eventually, something in life is going to kill me. Until then, I am going to enjoy my coffee.
