Have we seen this Le Fevre & Company proposal for 533 Chatham Street/530 Herald Street yet?

https://tender.victo...Number=DPV00228

From the architect's letter to council:

We are proud to present a contextually sensitive 6,345 sq.m./ 68,300 sq.ft. unique contemporary mixed-use building that reinforces the rich heritage fabric of Old Town and creates:

- The Wilson Public Park, acknowledging the Wilson legacy in Old Town
- a barrier-free, through-block walkway between Herald and Chatham, granted by way of a SRW
- a unit mix that has good consideration of smaller homes for affordability purposes
- a stand-apart building adjacent to the precedent-setting Ironworks building on Chatham Stree

It is being called "The Albion" and will include a new public park.

Perhaps an admin can move my above "Albion" post to a new thread?

Good work, nparker! The mid-block park, Wilson Public Park, is named in honour of the Wilson family, for whom the building adjacent to the new park (at Herald Street) is named for.

That's awesome it seems they will be trying to keep as many of the trees as possible.

Yes, they will preserve the trees in the parking lot fronting Herald.

Very nice with the little walking alley and hidden plaza. Would be even better if there is a number of retail units in there, similar to Fan Tan Alley. Cafes or restaurants would be nice too. That would ensure this can constantly be opened to public access with "eyes on the street" for additional safety.

...A new condo complex consisting of two residential buildings was erected on the site in 2017 - one facing Pandora and one facing Fisgard with a parkade in the middle.  To recognize the history of the site, Theatre Alley was recreated, but unfortunately without any shops or cafes, thus making it much less inviting...

The city should push to have at least some three bedroom family units included.
