Courtney is our main way of getting downtown. I suppose we'll have to fly soon.

The Cathedral District isn't now, nor ever was old town.
And it should be, as Old Town is vastly superior to anywhere else in Victoria when it comes to urbanism. You'd think that more modern planners can do a better job, but apparently not so.

Would the parents of the CCC students mind funding the entire restoration/seismic upgrade of the cathedral through their children's tuition?
Regular tuition, 2023-24, $9,455.
Anglican rate, $9,021
International rate, $17,631
...10% discount for second child, 50% for third, 75% for fourth
(from https://library.schooladvice.net/share/9502703/rh54h6y8no4oii72s6uo#b2352068143_383 )
Can't find the attendance (nor the tuition) on the school site, but "Our Kids, The Trusted Source" says an enrolment of 270.
300 kids at $9,000 is $2,700,000, which doesn't seem like a lot of money to operate and staff a school. The cupcake sales for the seismic upgrades will go on till Ben Isitt builds himself a three-car garage.

St. Patrick’s is about $5,500/year for a Catholic, non-Catholics pay about $6,000.
Know it all.
Citified.ca is Victoria's most comprehensive research resource for new-build homes and commercial spaces.
