Beer and fruit, I've never liked the combination, I still pull out the lemon wedges they stick in my Hefeweizen's. Why bother ruining the taste of the beer with a fruit, if I wanted to taste fruit I woulda bought a cider or a fruit wine!
If you can find it, I've bought most on the island, try to find "Ephemere" from Unibroue. They make a deadly apple beer, and I'm not a fruit beer fan myself (also don't like the lemon in a hefe). Ephemere comes in many fruits though, I'm not a big fan of the raspberry which can also be found around town.

One of my favourite drinks is a Miquelada
Take one regular old lager add the juice of one lime, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and about 6 large dashes of hotsauce.
Ahh so good!

Are they twist-offs, or are you joking? I didn't know they were twist-offs, but I'm lazy and use an opener for everything.I have one complaint about Phillips products. The damn twist-off caps are darn near impossible to twist-off!

Are you sure they're twist-offs? I made this mistake once myself and badly serrated the palm of my hand (I was determined not to be defeated by a simple twist-off cap). The rule-of-thumb is good micro beer requires a bottle opener, swill for the masses has twist-offs.The damn twist-off caps are darn near impossible to twist-off!

If they're twist-offs, be sure to check each bottle for ease of opening :-DI have some in my fridge at home I will confirm later (if I remember )

I think the Phillips people have set up a challenge for manhood. Can you twist off the bottle cap without grip or mechanical aids?

Hard work and a series of what owner Matt Phillips calls “happy accidents” have in 14 years taken Phillips Brewing from a tiny Esquimalt garage into a large facility on the edge of downtown Victoria.

I hope they use their local malt to make something other than IPA, Double IPA, ISA, Triple IPA, Black IPA, White IPA, or BlahBlahIPA.
