It's so generic though.  More like they could not find a photography that wanted to drive 4 hours return for one beach shot.

They're selling a destination. The photography should be an accurate depiction of the location. Definitely false advertising- deliberate or not.

You gonna drop $299k - $550k on it without going up to see for yourself?  Come on it's not like he's selling a mail-order gizmo that's not as depicted when it arrives in your mailbox.  Real estate uses generic feel-good photos and imagined renderings all the time.

Oh come on! What if a condo development was featuring photos of balconies when their weren't any units with balconies? Would you blame the purchaser for their ignorance?
Fact is, yes a purchaser should do his homework. But a developer shouldn't sell something that isn't there either.

I more than agree. Just because a purchaser should do their due diligence before embarking on such a large expensive and investment, doesn't mean it's okay to lie. 

When I was up last week I of course noted that past Shirley, there is only a tiny pocket or two of cell coverage.

How hard is it to set up a single cell tower in Port Renfrew?  It's not like it does not have power, phone lines, and high-speed internet in town.

Seems odd that at least one company would not set up, the area is served by Telus landlines.

I usually get the American towers bugging if I'm out that way.

There is zero service in Renfrew. Not even US carriers.

Agree, at least that was the case when I was out there fishing in November. Zip, zero, nada, nothing.......

Anybody know why/if it would be hard or too expensive to install one antennae?

This is the beach in Port Renfrew from the south end of San Juan inlet. I have stood here, I have worked there, and I have pictures of this place. Someone trying conspire here this is photo shopped can get themselves voted off the island.

The phone and internet does not come in by landlines, it bounced in by radio wave towers .... Telus won't even consider cell in the area, it's been brought up and they won't even put in hard lines. The phones and internet goes down often in winter storms if trees get in the way of the dishes high on the hills. It's been good the last few years but it has gone out for days on end, even no 911 service.
