Couples should even book the outside seats, then admonish anyone that has the audacity to take the seat between them.
We always do that on three-abreast seating, but with Porter Reserve and Transat Club two-abreast seating there is no need to.

The RNAV landing system at RWY09 @ YYJ is inoperable again.
The glide slope is broken again, which is part of the ILS ( instrument landing system )
The VAA has very aging equipment and it keeps breaking.
Project page shows under ground wiring replacement jobs still on the books for 2026

The move must be carried out before the next routine flight, according to a separate bulletin to airlines seen by Reuters, threatening cancellations or delays during one of the busiest travel weekends of the year in the United States and beyond.

A private flight at 3am, hmmm.
Seen lots of coverage on news media and social media asking the same thing.
It is not uncommon for training flights out of Boundary Bay, Pitt Meadow's, and Langley airport to do "night rating flights" over to YYJ and YCD and back in the late evening hours, uncrowded skies time.
Solo flights to build hours as well, but I found it a bit odd at that hour too.
Nanaimo is only a FSS, flight service station, so no control tower and the FSS advisor goes home at 8pm, and let in the hands of terminal controller to check in with - so TSB will have their hands full for a while putting this one back together.
