There was some activity on-site last week. Does anyone have an update on this project?

Not that I have heard. I will keep my ears open. I live a block away and the lot is an eye-sore. I hope they fix it up.

This project is "dead" as far as the City is concerned. Any activity beyond the usual soil testing would require new permits.

There has been an excavator digging at this site this week. I walked by at lunch time and it was digging merrily away.

They can only be digging to test for bedrock etc. the City's file on this project is closed and no permits are in place.

The excavators were back on Friday, about 3 people were working on this site during the afternoon...

Excavators on site seem to be the life story of this lot :) I swear if one goes back and reads this entire thread there will be a half dozen reports of excavators on site for one reason or another.

Know it all.

A half-dozen soil testing trucks were at a site again at Hillside and Cook around the same time so I wonder if a firm out of Vancouver comes over and monitors several sites in one trip.
