So that's what happened to Astrid Braunschmidt (formerly CTV Vancouver Island and very briefly with BC Ferries).

If you drill down further you'll notice another couple of interesting people on their executive, including Keith Wells (also ex-CHEK, ex-Global TV sportscaster), and more interestingly from the standpoint of this forum I would expect, one Jeremy Loveday, ex-COV councilor, who is the "Exec Director Public Affairs, Destination Stewardship & Sustainability" - quite the title .

I see among the DGV management group is also ex-CHEK ex-Global sportscaster Keith Wells and for those wondering what happens to ex-COV councilors one Jeremy Loveday is also there. Among other things the following appears in his Bio:
Jeremy served eight years as a Victoria City Councilor and four years as a CRD Director, spearheading initiatives in affordable housing, climate action, active transportation, arts and culture, and sustainable economic development.
Offhand of the five bullet points mentioned above I am hard-pressed to recall in which if any of them he actually "spearheaded" anything.

Fun fact: Keith is the dude behind The Frame channel on Shaw/Rogers.

He's also the founder of the highly successful STNVideo firm here in town that was sold earlier this year for $150 mill USD. STNV is (or was) North America's leading online video platform, syndicating one billion news & sports video highlights per month to over 2,000 news outlets. Keith is a smart guy. DGV is lucky to have him.
