Whats up with their population thing? Higher policing costs once they cross the 5,000 mark, or something?

When you break 5000 people you have to start paying for policing.   This was intended for small towns not close to a big city, places like Port Hardy, Valemount, or Lillooet, not for any upscale suburban neighbourhood

I wonder what the percentages would be if they asked Is Christmas Day on December 25?

CFAX POLL

How many of you know that after Bell Media took over CFAX and fired many rear ends out the Door because big corporation care 0% about their employees, that Terry Spence the News Director and long time employee was so distraught at being tossed out the back door like a dirty diaper that his health failed and now he lives in the Gorge Rd Hospital with Alzheimers and Dementia.

He's 79 years old, hard to say what caused his condition other than "old age".

I know Terry and it is silly to suggest that being fired by Bell caused his dementia. I am not letting Bell off the hook for how it treated its former employees, but it seems to me that they wanted to move to a younger demographic (ie < 75) and they needed talent who could take to the issues more relevant to that crowd.

That's a shame about Terry Spence. Always enjoyed hearing him. Stanford is another I'll miss, I guess too curmudgeonly for the millennials

It's too bad about the way Stanford went out.  Off for 6 weeks, then the station announced his retirement.  We never heard from him.

CFAX has been playing clips of their coverage of the Blizzard of '96.  Alan Perry doesn't sound one bit different today than he did back then.

No kidding.  They will have a 2-hour special coming up.  I missed the day/time.

Will it be similar to Orson Welle's broadcast of 1938, where people tuning in part way through think that the situation is REAL, and they run off to help their neighbours shovel off the roof.
