No kidding.  They will have a 2-hour special coming up.  I missed the day/time.

Saturday 8-10 AM I think but you might want to confirm.

I've put a note in to Ryan Price, I'm sure I will hear.

You're correct VicHockeyFan, it's Saturday Dec 31 from 8am to 10am. Our regular "A Look Back with Josh Hylden" program is expanded to 2-hours that day for Blizzard of '96 stories and listener calls. Josh will be joined by former C-FAX News Director Alan Perry for the show.

Here's something a little strange.

An acquaintance listening to CFAX yesterday (I believe) said a host (he's unsure of who the host was) had mentioned that I had delivered a bouquet of flowers to Mayor Helps when the issue of praising the mayor was raised by a caller.

I think the host was referring to this weeks segment when we chatted about development and how Mayor Helps is definitely on-side of new development and deserves praise where praise is due, but I think the bouquet comment (meant figuratively) was taken literally by some listeners.

Haha! Oops.

Know it all.

I think that was a nice gesture giving flowers to the Mayor.

Let me clear this up.  Adam Stirling said you had delivered a bouquet to the Mayor.  A compliment.

noun
1.
a bunch of flowers; nosegay.
2.
a compliment:
The drama critics greeted her performance with bouquets.
3.
the characteristic aroma of wines, liqueurs, etc.

Aha! Folks took it quite literally, from what I was told.

All cleared up now.

I'll be on air with Adam Stirling tomorrow morning between 10AM and 11AM. We'll be chatting about a variety of civic issues and topics.

There's a badly distorted message playing on CFAX online saying something about the current running program is restricted from streaming in Canada.  Tune into 1070 on the AM dial to listen.

He was on the air this morning, but word is it was his last shift at Bell Media’s C-FAX AM1070 Victoria.    Steve Duffy, whose 40-year career in Victoria radio had left him with a salary near the top of the list, has been advised his services are no longer needed.
