More intel from Quadra Village: The space that Lori's Takeaway Cafe just vacated might have already been leased. I just noticed that the for-lease sign came down.

Oops... upon closer inspection, the sign is still up. The angle I looked at it must have had it obscured by some sun glare. Will update tho

JACKS ON THE WATER opening soon in Sidney...
Taking the place of the old RumRunner pub - after a big reno. Lots of hiring ads for staff, supposedly opening April 1. Question, is it associated with Jacks Place in Bear Mountain? The Indeed hiring ads list Jacks Place. Jacks Place / Kuma Sushi Careers and Employment | Indeed.com

The Jack's on BM is a great space, good grub too. This is a nice 'add' for Sidney if they're affiliated

Micro-update from Quadra Village: Bubby's at Kings Road has plastic covering the windows, and it appears they are painting the interior.
