I just got home from a wonderful dinner at Matadora Tapas which, oddly enough, is located in Chinatown. I can't say enough wonderful things about this cozy little place. The food was amazing, the cocktail menu was extensive and the service was personable without being intrusive. If you love authentic Spanish style tapas as much as I do, I strongly suggest checking this place out.

Apparently Matadora has only been open about 6 months. They previously had a location in Kelowna, but relocated here since they got a better deal on the rent.

I was a bit surprised to hear that myself. Of course, I have no idea how large the restaurant was in Kelowna (585 Osprey Avenue), but the space here is pretty cozy.

Sidney Bakery is my favorite in the region. It's more like the bakeries of my childhood, great selection and prices. We drive out a few times a year for treats. Maple donuts are my favorite.

Chocolate donuts are to die for. Love the Sidney bakery and as a bonus are their reasonable prices for high quality food.
