I suspect they're just using the extra carriageway space as a temporary staging area for HP-1.

Through October 31 the 5% GST will be included in the purchase price of units.
Unfortunately the prices went up from what I had on my price sheet when they were offering 50k off so really there is no actual sale just a shift of the numbers to a higher price but now GST is included. Bad strategy to try and get more in this market that close to completion.

...I think THIS building is the one that will actually change perceptions of downtown.
Hopefully it will...and for the better.

It's a grower AND a show-er.

The project is also 60% sold-out.
Towering over its neighbours at downtown Victoria's Hudson District, the 25-storey Hudson Place One condominium has claimed the title of the city's tallest building at only 22-storeys in height. Hudson Place One will eventually rise to 85 meters above its Herald Street location.
At 22 of its 25-storeys, Hudson Place One condo tower stands as Victoria's tallest building

It really drives home how tall the HBC building is. With its two modern levels it has only six stories, and yet it's about half as tall as the unfinished HP1 tower (or, if you prefer, the equivalent of 10 or 11 modern residential levels).

Maintenance fees per sq ft too high to make the smaller units an attractive investment?

Isn't that more of an issue for larger suites, as the rates are derived on a per-square-foot basis?

You wouldn't be able to see it if the Permanent Loan Building was still standing at Douglas and Johnson.

From the sales team:
Earlier this month, the new First-Time Home Buyer Incentive (FTHBI) came into effect from the Government of Canada and it could be the right fit for you.
Designed to assist with your mortgage, this incentive boosts the size of your down payment by 5% or 10% and reduces your monthly mortgage.
There are a handful of homes at Hudson Place One that qualify for this incentive including our feature floor plan of the month.
And Don't Forget, GST is Included for a Limited Time.
