David Fincher’s neo-noir masterpiece Se7en is returning to the screens in a way it’s never been seen before, in IMAX, to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The genre-defining 1995 thriller will be getting a limited theatrical run in IMAX theaters across Canada and the USA starting January 3, 2025.

Waiting for Guffman is a 1996 American mockumentary comedy film written by Christopher Guest and Eugene Levy, and directed by Guest. The film's ensemble cast includes Guest, Levy, Catherine O'HaraFred WillardBob Balaban and Parker Posey.

The film's title is a reference to Samuel Beckett's play Waiting for Godot. As in the other mockumentary films created by Guest, the majority of the dialogue was improvised (based on Guest and Levy's story). Because the film is about the production of a stage musical, it contains several original musical numbers written by Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer.

Haha. Not bad. Then again it’s just never that bad. It’s almost like there is a human spirit that always comes through in the end. A little more than the stories give credit for. One observation I have had is that these authors discount the positive side of apathy. Take the Covid tyranny. After they stopped for fear of civil war and people went back to normal, when they tried to reboot the great reset with masks, elbows bumping, government injections for freedom…. it was people not caring that stopped it. Not some great uprising of the people.

The Matrix is already here, we just don't know it. Musk said so.

If you read Plato’s Republic, you will understand that we have always been in the Matrix.

You don't need to choose just one. You can bend spoons and eat steak if you want.

Watched Conclave this morning.

It's on Amazon Prime Video now.

I already kind of knew the ending, but honestly it was a good film for the first 3/4.  Maybe they needed the twist ending to still qualify for Oscars, I dunno.

Still worth a watch.

'Snow White' release plans change after Rachel Zegler, Gal Gadot PR disaster

Disney has decided to scrap its original plans for the premiere of 'Snow White' scheduled this weekend

https://www.thenews....dot-pr-disaster

Disney has changed its plans for the upcoming Snow White premiere, choosing to keep it low-key after months of backlash surrounding its stars Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot.

According to Variety, the event at El Capitan Theater will still take place on Saturday, March 15, but media interviews on the red carpet have been scrapped in favour of a more controlled setting with only photographers and a house crew.

The studio initially planned a lavish global press tour, including major events in Los Angeles and London.

However, amid PR struggles, Disney has scaled back to a limited number of tightly managed press opportunities. One of the most significant is now set for Segovia, Spain — a small city far from the intense media spotlight.

The “anti-woke” backlash surrounding Snow White has been ongoing since Zegler, 23, was cast in 2021, with fans criticising her for not resembling the original animated princess, per the Daily Mail.

Inside Disney’s ‘Snow White’ Troubles: “They Need to Get This Over With”

Disney’s live-action 'Snow White' reboot starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot seemed like a can't-miss project five years ago. But have some PR missteps combined with anti-woke outrage turned marketing the film into a poisoned apple?

I don’t get the backlash against her specific to her looks. It worked fine for Little Mermaid. People get way too butthurt over things that don’t matter. Racists, the lot.
