Those new exterior lights on the west side are too bright. They will be lighting up the units from the outside. Apparently the neighbour is really feeling the impact.

It's James Bay; the neighbours feel the impact of everything.

I've looked at the live webcam at night and the lights are quite bright.

I had issues with exterior lights on a condo tower I developed in James Bay.  One of the neighbors threatened to shoot out the lights with their gun and I replied if that happens the police will know where to go first

Why do we have so many exterior lights?  Wouldn't it be better to just have some on a motion sensor?

I thought that was the Trendwest/Worldmark Building? Didn't they end up changing the lights?

If so, they should have kept the lights and changed the building. Fugliest thing to grace the waterfront in the entire city.

I just looked at the site cam, definitely too bright, the owners on the bottom two floors are going to be lit up like a prison yard.

That wasn't my development, that was Wall Financial who developed that.  They also own the Wall Centre the 2nd tallest building in Vancouver

I disagree, most of the buildings on the Songhees are as bad if not worse

I am advised that there will be an adjustment made to the lights.

The Duet now has occupancy.  I was there for a deficiency walk-through yesterday on one of the units.  First owners will start moving in on November 18th, 2014.  Sales center is set up in one of the ground floor units in the woodframed west building.

Yes, very good.  I ran into one of the sales team yesterday, likely the one that went through with you Marko.

They are trying to get a lot of the walk-throughs done now and fixed before move-ins where possible.  But they anticipate that likely as many as 50 units are wanting to move in before the end of this month.

^That's as nice a parking ramp as I've ever seen... not something that usually catches the eye. Well done, Chard.

Could keep the strata fees a little bit lower?

It looks to me like most of that couldnt be cut nicely with a gas mower. They will need to bring in someone to edge, weed and trim eat every few days to keep it nice.

Might have been a bit too tall. You can actually see it:
