It's just close enough to the hospital to run over, get a sandwich, and get back on your lunch break, if you book it. I might never have to go to the Subway again.

They had contemplated Esquimalt at one point but from what we were lead to believe the landlord wasn't very accommodating.
The had contemplated the space where the bottle Depot had been on Esquimalt Rd next to A&W. The zoning want in place like the landlord had said, he wanted them to pay and go through the process and do all tenant upgrades. They pulled the plug.

The Royal Lepage office is moving to the top floor of Athlone Court in Oak Bay. Score one for Oak Bay over Victoria! Or over Esquimalt.

That is an interesting move as I would think the rent would be higher than their office on Oak Bay Avenue. see photo a few posts ago.

I'd say the Red Barn is the bigger coup than Oak Bay getting the Royal Lepage.

Not a ton of parking behind that building and on-street spots are taken pretty quickly. The spaces on the other side of the white van are for Home Hardware and Delicado's.
Delicado's closed their downtown and Oak Bay Ave locations last year (at potentially their other ones as well).

Anyone know more? Will it open in time to have fresh Oak Bay raised venison?
You'll have to cross the picket line!

The sandwiches are still great... but just not the same "feel".

They were delayed due to issues that came up in renovation.
There was a lot of water damage to their new building due to the 90s style construction, so not entirely shocked they are delayed.

The rendering doesn't show a roof overhang nor gutters, so it is still probablyan outdated leaking looking design from the '90's.

The sidewalk in front of the new Oak Bay Ave. location is being replaced. This is good. Before it was a jumbled mess of concrete planters and steps at different levels.
