You need to get up to jumping speed by sliding down the concrete octopus there, but I’m sure you are already aware.

Sparky, you gotta talk some sense into your leadership. Forever and ever you could drop a boat down into the water from Telegraph Cove, now they've plunked bollards down?

You can’t drive up Mount Doug anymore either. It’s like Seb says, they just keep taking away our old pleasures.

Never used that ramp for obvious reasons but always appreciate lots of ramps around if you need to get back in a jiffy (emergency, weather, etc)

I think it was a dynamite factory forever ago.

“..1895 The Giant Powder Company established an explosives plant at Telegraph Bay. The plant operated at this location until 1920 when it was relocated to James Island. Now all that remains is the house at 3565 Telegraph Bay Road, built in 1911 as the home for the works manager...“: https://www.saanich....2018 8.5x11.pdf

“.. One of the most prominent exporters in Victoria was Johnny Schnarr, who used the proceeds of his work to build a two-storey oceanfront home on Telegraph Bay…”: https://www.timescol...he-law-1.642606

Apparently I was wrong. I thought it was 24/7 but I’m being told that it’s only mornings that the road up Mount Doug is closed.
