I believe it is now paid parking with Robins but I could be wrong about that.

Yeah, I think that was historically the restriction. I’m sure they also sold parking permits but from time to time an attendant would be posted to the lot entrance.
That's right. The attendant was just there on busy days like Saturday to make sure that everyone that parked there went into the store.
Robbins says they offer some parking at "Capital Iron" at 530 Chatham for $205/mo.

Good to know that there is still free parking. The store should put up a really big sign.

I'm a cheapskate and loathe to pay for parking, esp. if I don't end up buying anything, but just want to look.

Drove by since I had to be in the neighborhood, no free parking that I could find so I did not stop.

Parking was always an issue for Capital Iron. Lots of people would park in the lot and either shop elsewhere or make it look like they were going to CI and then quickly exit and shop elsewhere. CI had an attendant during peak shopping seasons but I don't know if they actually towed anyone unless the abuse was egregious. I think the attendant was just here to remind people and act as a deterrent.

I worked for Capital Iron in the 90s.

Sign says Grand Opening Nov 15….inside looks like they’ll be working 24/7 until then. In between the liquor store and the cannabis store.

I think Bulk Barn is going to the mall near where the bank robbery took place on Shelbourne. I don't know the name of the mall I'm afraid. I look forward to going there for Christmas baking items and bulk bird seed. .
As I'm a law-abiding citizen, I only parked in the Capital Iron parking lot when I was going there.

Is that the one across the street from where the BMO is? There are several strip malls in that immediate area.
In the Shelbourne Plaza I believe. The one with Fairway Market.

I wouldn’t have thought there’s enough room for a BB there. Wow.
