I have to wonder if the same stunt would have been pulled if last week's rains had lasted a few days longer. That would have been real conviction.

On the plus side, the photo should make it relatively easy to identify the perpetrators and begin prosecuting them.

Perhaps a higher order was at work?

Speaking of a higher order power, there is a throne speech tomorrow. It will be interesting to see if the legislature front door is cleared of protestors before the lieutenant-governor makes the traditional entrance.

It's been a long winter; I am sure the legislature steps need a good power washing.

At least we know we're getting good value for the log splitter.

Tempura isn't quite so soluble and quick to wash away as some trying to justify this "paint job" are trying to imply.

This was vandalism plain and simple, and is indicative of exactly what's wrong with law enforcement in the City of Victoria today in that a crime was committed under the watchful eye of the Victoria Police Department, and absolutely nothing was done to either stop it, or to penalize those who perpetrated it.

Great example of exactly what's wrong in Victoria currently.

A sort of paint used in art—traditionally including eggs as an ingredient—is tempera.

Eggs are also sometimes used in tempura, a batter which is used to coat fried ingredients in Japanese cooking.

But don’t be tempted to feed your friends tempera.

Regardless of "tempera" or "tempura" the CoV has egg on its face regarding this latest act of civil disobedience.

Well, if it's not sushi, and it's not tempura, then it has to be tempera!!

Brushes used in egg tempera paintings are typically only 1 mm wide so I'm imagining a team of artists on their knees for months to create this giant bridge masterpiece.

What happens if you use a bigger brush?

The paint dries too fast. You have to make little batches because the egg yolk doesn't stay liquid long and it spoils overnight if you don't use it. I mean, you could make a big batch and use a big brush but the whole point of egg termpera is the delicate translucent layers.

It seems to me from what I've seen on tv that a lot of the protesters are young women. What are they living on? Do they work? Do they buy food or live on air? Cripes, my daughter has two jobs...who in the heck has time for protests?

You know, they said the same thing about the Clayoquot protesters back in the day and it turned out they were right and everyone apologized so I'm not so quick to pull out my pitchfork just yet.

The protesters are back...

But this time it's rush hour, and a group have broken off and are marching down Harbour Rd. towards - the Bay St. Bridge.

They know Trudeau doesn't keep daily tabs on the JSB and no one here can do anything at all right?
