Gosh, gee, that looks like a swell show!

The Roxy looks dumb now with that ugly fence on top of the marquee.

Word is the folks behind Radius are proposing 500 units of seniors rental housing for the former Blanshard School.

it would have been nice if City of Vic kept the lanes on Quadra at a realsitc width. Transit buses barely keep in their own lane. Two big vehicles can't drive side-by-side without one over the centre line.

Last comment was 2007, woah.

I was driving through Quadra Village the other day and was thinking if it could be an area that seems some growth and increased housing density. Thoughts?

Today I was just thinking the brick Stan Hagen Centre for Families, which I think used to be the Royal Bank, needs to be torn down and something decent put in its place.

Most of that intersection needs to be torn down and replaced with something decent.

If there was a nice condo building there, say 834-like, would you consider living there?

Before I bought my place I almost bought a place up at Bay/Quadra, but it was top-floor with sun all day, and I had little other information about the area.

Right now I'm not a big fan of the area which is why I feel it could do with some improvements.  Does there really need to be a Money Mart at the corner of Quadra and Hillside?  Those aren't the sort of establishments that should be so prominently displayed, IMO.

Do the cops still call this area "Handgun Heights?"

Hopefully the CRD seniors residence goes a long way to help that area, but if it's "campus of care" concept for that site is anything like what they've done at Carey Road then it won't do much.
