I was thinking that it may still be a restaurant.  Black & White is offering owners access to a chef services and catering.  How could they do this without a restaurant in the building?

Off topic, but there has been talk of the Hudson Bay/Mall needing a major tenant.  I think they should try to attract Eatly, Mario Batali.   The old Hudson Bay location would also be an attractive site.

Had a look yesterday. The old structure looks pretty flimsy.

Does anyone have a picture of the current demolition activity?

My brother in law was supposed to be there today (he runs excavators), but he has to finish up some work on the sidewalk at Escher first so I suppose it will be later in the week.

These two are gone, and the rubble neatly stacked.  The one along Cook is still intact.

Thanks for the photos and information.  I won't be out to Victoria until February so it was nice of you to take the time to forward the update.

Amazing photos!  Thanks for posting as many images as you did.  For someone that isn't living in Victoria YET....................... it was great to see what has been happening on the site.

Thanks very much.

Gone baby gone.

How long before someone suggests that a park gets constructed here instead of some nasty condos? After all, more green space will solve the city's housing crisis - right?
