It seems to me that the YMCA plus the new Belmont school all within walking distance to the homes in Westhills should make Westhills the destination of choice for many people. Their prices seem very good for what you get and it seems to have an organized long term growth stratagy. Very impressive.

Any news on the commercial construction to accompany the YMCA anchor? All I see on the Westhills website is that a "Future Westhills Commercial Center" will accompany the YMCA locations.

There's supposed to be two of those artificial wave things for surfing on too.

The 3rd picture in the set is called a variable depth pool.
The bottom of it can be raised or lowered to provide varying depth.

Why would you need to vary the depth of a pool?

Why would you need to vary the depth of a pool?
It allows for them to adjust the pool depth dependent on the user in the pool. For instance, you could have it set to wading depth for young children and then make it deeper for an aquafit class. It can also be set to a depth appropriate for any sort of special needs clients or rehabilitation use. They're pretty neat systems that allow for a much broader use of the pool.

That will be worth a visit!
But, but...you hate "sprawl"!

Comes in handy when you need to empty it.
