From what I understand the hotel actually took in people displaced by the fire. I think there was a party on the boat several hours earlier.

Heard the sirens last night around 1am-ish and figured it was something fairly serious based on how many trucks went by. Videos on Twitter are quite something !

This is the most exciting thing that's happened at work in a long time. I'm still cranky I was on vacation the week the car barge caught flame.

It looked like one of the storage units or something was burning but it was pretty close to the building so I'd say it probably could have spread. Hopefully they got it out!

Crazy, I hear one of the dogs is missing that belonged to the man who lived in an on-site trailer. Sounds like damage to the structures occurred by I’m not sure how much.

It would appear that adding a jet engine to the airport shuttle wasn't nearly as good an idea in practice as it was in theory.

The airport shuttle, or at least one of the YYJ Airport Shuttle buses, was brand new when the service was introduced. This thing is old. The front end looks like an early 90's Ford.

Yet it looks like the front end is the only thing that survived.
