It will soon offer it's future residents a lovely view of tent-town. That aught to boost sales.

Yes, the "hard-hat" tours will not be good.  It has to be affecting sales, even if it's not easy to measure.  How many people look at the website, then go look at the site, before they ever make contact with the sales office?  But I'm sure that Chard's people also follow up all their leads, so they get feedback from those that have contacted the sales office.

My wife and i went for a viewing, even filled out the contact form (at the early stages of their marketing).  We have never heard back. Nada. Nothing.

This is such a greater urban build. I wish it could have been about 50% taller though. 10-storeys seem like a bit of a waste for this location. I guess I say that a lot don't I?

Perhaps the developer felt that additional floors would have been a tough sell, especially as this project was in the planning phase prior to the current real estate boom.  The Era is about 50% taller but it took a while after completion to sell out?

I am sure the developers did their homework before breaking ground and made the best decision for the time. It just seems a shame that a taller, more prominent, building won't be in this location. It seems to be a quality project so that helps mitigate its "shortfalls" (pun intended).

The height was limited by the Cathedral Precinct development guidelines. You wouldn't really want tall buildings blocking the view of Christ Church Cathedral.

But it's OK to have a tent slum across the street from CCC.

What a shame it's already at 2/3 of it's finished height.

It's so cool walking down the north side of the 800-block of Fort Street, looking over to the south side of the street (which is all one to three story structures) and seeing this development rise from behind those businesses. It's truly having a significant positive impact on the visual landscape. This is just going to do wonders for that area of downtown. Can't wait until it tops out!

The crappiest thing about the place is it is not actually considered downtown even though it is in downtown.

Its in Fairfield officially

If that is the crappiest thing I'd say they've done a really nice job.
