The CBC in particular has tried its very best to keep the story out of its top-of-mind coverage with related news four, five even six or more articles down the front page...

Edit: never mind.

As I write this, 7 of the top 9 headlines on the National Post’s mobile version are dedicated to the SNC scandal.

1 of the top 9 headlines on the CBC’s mobile news portal are dedicated to the SNC scandal.

When you click “Canada” on the CBC News mobile website, there is not a single mention of the scandle or Butts’ resignation. See for yourself: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada

I guess one can easily see who cheers for whom.

Know it all.

Yup, I’m quite familiar with media bias. The time the Globe and Mail told me to vote for Harper clinched it.

Edit: I guess the screenshot didn’t upload. The Butts resignation remains the top story at cbc.ca/news

Top story on the cbc world news at 6 as well as As It Happens, neither of which were flattering to the Trudeau, with the world news describing Trudeau losing part of his “machine”. AiH interviewed Nathan Cullen right off the bat.

And here’s the aforementioned Nathan Cullen interview about the Butts resignation, starting at 2:00 in:

Obviously they have to address it but the point still stands that it will get 10% of the attention and seriousness that it would be given had it happened to Harper in 2014

While we’re at it, I’ll bet Butts’ resignation will be the lead item tomorrow morning on The Current (on CBC Radio One, streamed, podcast, and transcribed to printable text)

Well you were wrong. It was not on the current and is no longer front page on the CBC website. Buried deep in related articles. Even the most ardent "we vote CBC" person must concede this unbelievable contrast. Remember the Duffy "scandal"? Just compare the incessant coverage that recieved to this far more serious incident

Touché! But, I am pleasantly surprised that you listen to the program.

And I’m seeing three pieces regarding Butts in the top section of the mobile site right now.

Apparently Wilson-Raybould met with Cabinet today? WTH is going on? Was it Butts' head she wanted?

Also, the Liberals have put forward a motion to have JWR testify before the Justice Committee regarding the SNC affair. This ain't going away, people. Buckle up.

Something tells me the Liberals are not likely to pursue their anti-Scheer $6 Million Dollar Man hitpiece election media campaign.

But with this government there's always the thought in the back of my mind that somewhere in the shadows is a Liberal strategist just waiting for someone to hold his beer...

You know, I was so consumed with wondering when a Butts probe joke was going to be made I totally missed the Butts head angle. Embarrassing.
