So walked through their covered bunked on Vancouver St. At lunch today. Two homeless people puffing away one their crack pipes and had to walk through their "bloom" of smoke. After doing so I could taste the shite in my throat, and smell it for avoid 15 minutes after. The issue was after I spent the next two hours concerned about my well being. NOT HAPPY. Lisa Helps.. what are you going to do about me?

Do something desperate - establish a one-man homeless shelter on the Pandora bike lane. That aught to pull Her Worseship in two different directions.

As of June 2017,  8 months after sales launched since Nov 2016:

4th floor, 1 bed 1bath 1 parking  743 sqft asking for  470k+gst( or $664 sqft)

5th floor, 1bed 1 bath 1 parking 663 sqft asking for 440k+gst, , ( or $696/sqft).

7th floor, 1 bed 1 bath 1 parking 615 sqft asking for 445+gst (or or $760/sqft)

I am writing down pricing for tracking purposes as project moves along, and hopefully it helps someone in the future when they decide to harvest.

congrats to those who brought earlier- you just made 50k in 8months.

Every project pushes prices higher as they move closer to construction or in the early construction phases.

The most important aspect of a pre-sale program is securing early buyers. Once early buyers are secured, the financing becomes attainable, and the project is a go. Without those early investors literally making the project feasible there is no project.

This is going to end up looking like a really nice corner with Legato right there too. Only wish there was more of a height disparity maybe.

Agreed. This area could use a 25-storey tower to break up the table top skyline.

Interestingly enough I've had two clients buy into this project in the last 10 days.  Both were waiting for the Yates on Yates release and then ended up going here after the release.

Prices for the east tower are starting at $475,000 for a one-bedroom suite. Two-bedroom suites are priced from $625,000.

I never realized there was such a discrepancy between the number of units in each of the towers

...Comprised of 48 homes, 989’s 17-storey east tower will rise two levels above its 15-storey counterpart...989 is a 206-unit condominium development...

http://victoria.citi...ntown-victoria/

If my calculations are correct, this means the 15-storey west tower (including the podium) will have 158 units and the east tower will average only 3 units/floor!

It seems like the podium is where the bulk of the units are located. Almost 20 units per floor, and then the typical east tower floor with 6 units to the typical west of 7.

How many penthouse units are there?

Cox Developments’ two-tower 989 condominium project has entered its final sales phase with the release of units in the east tower, Citified has learned.

Comprised of 48 homes, 989’s 17-storey east tower will rise two levels above it’s 15-storey counterpart at the intersection of Johnson and Vancouver streets in downtown Victoria’s Harris Green district.

“With the east tower our goal has been to offer larger homes and the opportunity to secure penthouse suites with unobstructed views towards the Salish Sea, over downtown Victoria and vistas to the north and east,” says project developer Dax Cox.

One-bedroom homes in the east tower are priced from $475,000 and include a parking stall. Floorplans range between 611 and 663 square feet and offer balconies sized between 49 and 57 square feet.

Two-bedroom, two bath homes with southeast exposures are sized at 837 square feet with 56 square foot balconies. Pricing starts at $625,000.

989 is a 206-unit condominium development situated along the 900-block of Johnson Street. The project features a unit mix of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and penthouse homes. A ground floor commercial component will yield several retail spaces fronting onto Johnson and Vancouver streets.

Under construction since last summer, Cox estimates project completion and resident move-ins will occur by late

i am reading out:
#1)
475k for 1bed 1 bath 1 parking at 611 sqft====> $816 sqft
625k for 2 bed 2 bath 1 parking at 837 sqft===>$784 sqft

so the price is keep going nuts when phase one unit sold out at $610/sqft for one bed...... same location, but the price has gone up $200/sqft in only 8/9 months....
#2) closing date has been move up from feb 2019 to Late 2018.

Are you sure units in the first phase were $610/sq. ft. in the west tower, not the podium?

The tower crane at 989 will be erected Thursday July 13th.

The 500 ton mobile rigged as a 400 ton will be assembled on Wednesday the 12th.
It will be the tallest freestanding crane Victoria has ever had.

OK, just googled Wolffkran 226 sl. Is it going to be a crane that looks like this, or will it be a more traditional hammerhead?
