It's absurd that this intersection, right beside a facility that regularly hosts upwards of 3,000 fans, does not have all crosswalks painted.

That intersection and Blanshard/Herald...

I wonder if once the Hudson Place projects are complete if this intersection will be improved in some way?

It’s a difficult one to make it across on the walk signal. Gotta be in your a game.

^I like the ideas but dont agree with the "traffic calming" especially not a traffic circle. It is possible to have livable urban villages on busy arterial roads. Like west 4th in Vancouver

That is true. West 4th is great. That said I think Victorians are less adapted to true urban noise than Vancouverites.

Great post, G-Man! I can't believe I'd never noticed that every intersection on Cook south of Fairfield is a T.

Right, and that's what makes it a "village." You see that emulated in Oak Bay Village and other "villages." Vic West "village" has that too and the length of Craigflower from Skinner Road (Russel) to Tillicum is designed in that way.

Thanks guys. It definitely makes it more relaxed. Of course that helps deal with the very large street span. With narrower streets a regular grid works fine too.

View should have been made all bike lane instead of bike lanes on Pandora and Fort
