While the build quality of these buildings appears to be impressive, we all have come to a common agreement that communication is not this developers key competency.

.

who is the “we” in “we have all”?

I’m not signing off on your decree.

you are not even a purchaser so you have no idea what the communication is with actual buyers.

presumably the ones scheduled for a walk through have been communicated with.

I have done my walk-through of my unit today. The building DOES have a gym, in the basement in North Building. I love my unit, I like that the fridge and the dish washer(s!) are hidden. (Also, two dish washers?!?). One weird thing.. the communal carpets are... super ugly?

I am unable to add the photos here due to size and also that most of them appear sideways although they are shot in the correct orientation.

I have added a dropbox link with all the photos.

Would it be somewhere near the "moat"?

Looks nice! Question though. I thought to be technically called a bedroom, it needs a window, otherwise it would be a 0-bedroom or den. Looks as if the Junior 1 bedrooms, none of those bedrooms have a window.. Or maybe Jr 1 Bedroom is the new fancy term for a den?

Thank you for sharing your photos. It is a nice looking unit and building. You're right about that communal area carpeting though.

It's just a small bedroom. Sprinklered residences no longer require windows in bedrooms.

I love the kitchen being adjacent to a window like that. Super cool.

Ahhh...this explains why a friend's apartment at V1488 has non-egress windows in both bedrooms.

Yeah, the unit is considered a “JR 1 Bedroom” not a “1 Bedroom”.

I really can’t understand the communal carpet. It’s so ugly!! Maybe I could get the strata to replace it, but who would want to pay for that..

Moxuz, thanks for sharing your photos. which suite type is your unit? I was under the impression that the Jr. 1 bedrooms came with a bathtub.

Thanks for sharing the photos, Moxuz. The colour schemes you chose for the bathroom and kitchen/living area are the same ones we'll have in our unit and they look really good!

I'll probably be the odd one out, but I actually don't mind the carpet in the hallways haha. I think it's definitely going to be a very polarizing choice, though.

I was told they have separate operation so it really is two dishwashers!

electriclemmon, my suite type is jr 1 bedroom, can’t remember the letter option for it. I was also under the impression it came with a bathtub, but looking at the floor plan I was given when I bought it it says “SHOWER” in the bathroom area. I kind of wanted a bathtub but I do really like the full walk-in shower.

One odd thing is no microwave? Could have fit one into one of the cupboards.

You will get used to the carpet sooner than you think so I would not fret about it. Do you have a move in date?

They said final inspection 23rd and then up to city to give them the permit as fast as possible. Maybe end of December or 1st week of January.

One more odd thing, the sink in my unit is very scratched up at the bottom of the basin. The person showing the unit told me they can’t replace it as they would have to remove the entire countertop. I guess I live with it? Not too bad.

Another buyer I know requested a few customizations to his unit, including adding a microwave. He was able to get everything except the microwave, to which he was told that it "wasn't the lifestyle he'd bought into". I guess people with gas ranges and two dishwashers don't heat up their food in microwaves?
