Is that one of ASE's cameras? :)

Ours are a little more discrete and unobtrusive Seb :), especially the top end surveillance gear installed on the high profile government and security sector customer sites.

We need more surveillance and more cameras if we are ever going to make it out of here alive.

Agreed, heh. I can only imagine the degree of surveillance/security surrounding this visit by William and Family.

Of course the more proficient and professional the surveil process the more invisible it is to the layman. Was reading an industry source the other day that in the Royals' own hometown of London - the UK is the most 'covered' society in the world from the standpoint of cctv - the average Londoner can expect to find themselves captured on an imaging system a minimum of 100-300x per day going about their daily routine.

Ah, but you can defeat them with the "anti face".

B.C. petting zoo gets government’s goat for tweeting that Prince George and Princess Charlotte visited

VICTORIA — A Victoria petting zoo got its wrist slapped Wednesday for tweeting that Prince George and Princess Charlotte stopped in to pet the animals while their parents were travelling around B.C. and Yukon.

The Beacon Hill Children’s Farm and Tourism Victoria both tweeted Tuesday that the two royal children had visited the petting zoo, where they apparently did what most commoners and their children in the capital city love to do: pet the friendly baby goats.

I can see asking them to delete the tweets if they sent them while the children were still in the park, but "had visited" suggests they waited until after the fact.

Insider information tip to help defeat face recognition devices/software - not forever since any defense will ultimately be defeated given the vast resources currently devoted globally to cataloguing "everything and especially everyone everywhere' - but if you are determined to stay off the grid (good luck with that), steps you can try include distorting or obscuring:

    - Distance between the eyes
    - Width of the nose
    - Depth of the eye sockets
    - The shape of the cheekbones
    - The length of the jaw line

All of which can be changed inexpensively by arriving uninvited at the Hells Angel's clubhouse.

Some tall ship action...

The Royal's spent some time on a tall ship during their last day in BC.

See, now that kind of art at the arena would be very neat.

See, now that kind of art at the arena would be very neat.

Although it would need to be much larger scaled. That's the greatest problem with the existing SOFMC sculpture - it's too small. When the adjacent advertising sign has more impact than the art work, then you know you've done something wrong with your public art.
