I hope they're not too expensive. I find some of those "speciality" donuts way too much, would cost $7 for two donuts! I love donuts :-)

$25 for a dozen, delivered to your home, I think.

^But only in Victoria proper! I think I paid $2.50 or $2.75 for the ones I bought. Expensive compared to a mass-produced doughnut, but these were pretty big doughnuts and really good.

Recently they have expanded the delivery area slightly.

They are usually $3 a donut if you get a single one in person. Sounds obscene but they are excellent and if you get a treat at any coffee shop in the city it's at least $2. Sure a Timmys donut costs about $1 but they're pretty terrible in comparison.

There can't be much profit delivering a dozen donuts to a friend, I mean in this heat all the icing would have run off in a matter of minutes, and soon you would have no friends.

Isn't that the barbershop?

Seemed a bit empty for 1:10 in the afternoon.

How many donuts did you have because the stock looks to be depleted?

I wonder how much Halloween fireworks you could pack into one of those rockets?

I had none, and was not offered any.  Props to jonny's brother-in-law, when I walked into the cookie place last Friday and said "do you know who I am?!?!"* I was offered a courtesy cookie immediately.

* I said I was Mike K.

I tried these guys the other day.  Was definitely not impressed for $2.75 a donut; you can tell that they don't bake them on-site (from what I understand, they are actually baked a few blocks up the street).

That said, they are definitely a step above Tim's if those are the only two options downtown.

I have not once come upon them when they're open. Always sold out by the time I walk past, sometimes evenmuch earlier in the morning than one would think donuts would be sold out.

Know it all.
Citified.ca is Victoria's most comprehensive research resource for new-build homes and commercial spaces.

I think they're quite good. They also sell donuts at the following locations - see their website for when.

2% Jazz, Picnic Coffee, Niagara Grocery, Hide + Seek Coffee, Fairfield Market, Second Crack Coffee, Shatterbox Coffee, Ground Control, Koffi and Fernwood Coffee

Their competition is yonnis doughnuts which are made at Discovery Coffee (in James Bay) and sold at all Discovery locations around town. I don't know how you could go back to Tim's after trying either one of these.

Quite good but not 2.75 good is my opinion.

I've never been able to buy anything at the shop. It's a bit of a running joke now between my friend and I when we're downtown. "Oh, it's 10am (or 11am, 12pm, etc) and what a surprise! Empire's closed!" and then we continue on to Crust or Pour.

There is a lot of early morning standing orders for boxes of 10 donuts.
