The guy holding the door open wider and beckoning blames everyone but himself.

The provinces were responsible for and did not keeping tabs on the many low quality  so called education programs that neither served their clients or the needs of each province or Canada. These programs were responsible for a large part of the increase in student visas. The feds had to push the provinces to pay attention to the problem. The Feds also started to limit the kind of school and programs that they would allow the Provinces to  give visas to for automatic acceptance.

That’s a small part of the problem, relatively.

Great map. Really shows why Oak Bay needs to be bulldozed to make way for more housing. We are simply out of space guys.

Put 10 towers here.

They will sell well.

They will not be "affordable" but they can satify the raw numbers the province seeks.

We should just say No. by complying with the Province’s “need” we grant them power they shouldn’t have.

Until we no longer need provincial dollars, we will do as we’re told.

Look at Sooke. It’s no secret the municipality has not cooperated with other governments over a lengthy period, and the results speak for themselves.

Know it all.

Well, I guess Sooke is doing that.

I don't think there is much Oak Bay can do to rush in big housing numbers though.  Unless they do somthing radical like above, or with the Marina land.

The Oak Bay Lodge property will deliver new density.

Not in Oak Bay's full control though.   They will have to push the CRD/CRHD to make it as dense as possible though.  The CRD might not have the plans/money yet to make it.

Maybe the province needs to move them off that land then. Make a reservation somewhere else for them.

The big issue is the last drop in the past 7 years.

People just want to use this country. And we allow it.

I absolutely do not want to join the US. I would rather we became a real country. A republic.

That would change absolutely nothing of substance.
