Lilgert testified that they were not having sex on the night of the sinking. But he also admitted that he had sex on the ferry on another occasion!

Who hasn’t had sex on the ferry? Isn’t that what the stateroom rentals were for?

How come it wasn’t suggested it might just have been a game of animal, mineral or vegetable, seems equally possible? Sounds like a kinky investigator at the very least

Isn't this what people do when they are trying to guess what's in the seafood chowder?

Ship bridges usually don’t have carpet underlayment, all the tables are full of buttons and sticks, windows everywhere, people popping through without notice to sign some papers or whatnot. I will give you that they do usually have a closet at the back

We love our cars!

As B.C. Ferries held its annual general meeting on Thursday, it released its first-quarter financial results showing the service earned a profit of $7.9 million in the first three months of the 2023 fiscal year, ended June 30, thanks in part to its highest vehicle count in the first quarter. At the same time last year, B.C. Ferries posted a $4.7 million profit. That profit was earned under Collins’ watch. The CEO was fired last month.

B.C. Ferries cancels at least a dozen sailings, blames lack of staff

The morning cancellations included four sailings between Tsawwassen on the mainland and Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island.

"We require a specific number of crew members on board the vessel to ensure the safety of our passengers," B.C. Ferries said in a statement. "The decision to cancel a sailing in these circumstances is made when we have exhausted all options to find replacement crew."

_________

The ferry corporation told foot passengers at the Swartz Bay terminal that pay parking facilities were full up on Saturday afternoon. They were advised to arrive by public transit or by taxi.

guess the crown corporation is looking for quality not quantity. Other than the number of sailings

Jeepers, now what?! Missing person or gang killing on the ferry from Tsawassen last night?

Twitter is saying someone went nuts and killed someone and threw them overboard.

Dude got high, started flipping out. Dude’s buddy was not so high. Ferry turns back to Nanaimo so RCMP can board, dude’s buddy that’s not so high gets off when they dock and goes home. RCMP spend a long time looking for dude’s buddy.

That’s a lot of delay for what turned out to be a minor issue. Yikes. Who’s the ceo over there?

Back in the day they’d just throw the troublemaker overboard and carry on.

The spillover was that the crew worked so much overtime they timed out for the next day, or most of the next day, making them unavailable for their shifts. Total cluster.

The ferry system is doing its best to make the case for fixed links.

Under current engineering capabilities, there is no possibility of a fixed link between the lower Island and the Lower Mainland.

Say, what's that mountain goat doing up here in the mist?

Still quite the distance, depth etc. See top image on https://www2.gov.bc....land/fixed-link.

It’s absolutely doable, but it would forever change the nature of the islands, and it’s a low priority.

What’s happening is the terminals are going to be expanded to increase capacity for 30 minute sailings during peak periods.

I’m surprised at how shallow the water is for the bridges mentioned.
