Essentially leaves in Geoghegan, Chambers, and Wickson (Maybe Ned Taylor as well)

I say the top four are Mersereau, Newby, Henderson and although he is young, Ned Taylor.

Mandates is up to each candidate. Here's a starting point: http://www.saanich.c...andidates.html

I'm puzzled why your link works and mine doesn't. The look the same to me.  :badpc:

You have a "%C2%A0" after the URL. You probably accidentally did a Ted Cruz.

That comment was in reference to which candidates have been able to differentiate themselves from the generally bland platform most council contenders run on. If I could vote, my choice would be between Mersereau and Wickson

Wickson seems to have a pie in the sky vision as well - hold the line financially (he's an economist), but the types of things he wants to get done are extremely expensive - fix the stormwater system, LRT, affordable housing...

Sigh. I'm having a hard time picking one to vote for.

Rob Wickson has a nice big campaign billboard at the corner of Quadra/Cook.  Must get thousands of views a day from car drivers.

He won't hesitate to marginalize those of us who get around by car, but he'll sure take advantage of motorists for campaign exposure!

Yeah, I don't like the car hate either. Great, he's a cyclist. Be a realist too, many people need to drive.

Mr. Taylor, your election signs have the name of the municipality you are trying to represent spelled incorrectly.

Know it all.

One of Ned's campaign promises is to change the spelling of the City so his signs are in fact spelt properly.

I'd suggest that perhaps the mis-spelling is not Mr.Taylor's fault - more that of the sign printer.  But, how the heck do you live in Victoria, and not know how to spell the name of one of the core munis?

Say, what's that mountain goat doing up here in the mist?

Signs might have been printed elsewhere.  Many places are much cheaper than local for simple signs and fair quantities.  But a little proof-reading is good for everyone.
