It'd be cool if they could get some Riverdale cast over.

I think this would be a blast to go and be a spectator. Too bad I am away during this.

From what I understand it is some type of collaboration between the DVBA, Tourism Victoria and Cherry Bomb Toys.

I threw out all my 3D Superman comics in 1953 because I lost the glasses.

I know there has been a lot of work put into this already. Our LEGO club is going to be involved and providing a huge display possibly with some out-of-town help.

Not feeling much excitement for this around town. And Warburton remains the biggest name.

Conventions like this can be huge disasters, for every successful recurring convention there's a bunch of failed ones. Even some of the successful ones are undone by internal drama and politics. Was just reading a talk about the subject, some really weird stuff often goes on socially in these groups.

POSTPONED: Capital City Comic Con — the city’s foremost film, television and comic-book convention — is postponed until further notice over an “abundance of caution due to COVID-19.”
The third annual edition of the Comic Con had been expected to attract upwards of 10,000 people March 20-22.
“It is not a decision we take lightly,” producers from the Capital City Comic Con Enthusiasts Society said in a statement, noting the Screen Actors Guild recently issued a notice to its members that it was in their best interest to cease flying for the foreseeable future. “Recognizing the union body for actors has issued a notice to protect the safety of their members, some Capital City Comic Con guests have made the choice that it would be best for them to postpone their travel to Greater Victoria for the time being.”
No new dates have been announced. Information will be posted on capitalcitycomiccon.ca, organizers said.

Bought a day pass but couldn't go due to an emergency.
I planned to go more for the social scene, seeing people's cosplay and the merch.
The guest list didn't do a thing for me. I saw a comic artist I wanted to see.
I love panels as well but I'm unaware if this con had panels this year. Tsunkino-Con usually has plenty of panels for a local con but they didn't hold their con this year due to the pandemic.

A fan favourite pop culture event has announced it’s no longer running in Victoria, following a hiatus in 2023.
On Tuesday, Capital City Comic Con said it had no plans to host any future conventions.
“Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding while we were on an extended break. After much discussion over the past year, we sadly announce that we do not have any future plans for another convention,” reads a social media post from the convention.
