...my tolerance for underlaying hate is growing less and less as I age.

Wait until you find out what governments, politicians, and big corporations have been up to for the past several centuries. You might want to have a drink first.

And for goodness sake, I strongly recommend you do NOT turn on the TV, watch a Hollywood movie, listen to popular music, etc.

There’s been some good progress over the last few weeks, looks like they are starting some of the fourth floor! They have done a great job of cleaning up some of the concrete along Head street, it looks MUCH better now.

A worker I spoke with mentioned that the original contractor who was in charge during some of the questionable foundation wall pours had been terminated and the new contractor was repairing these areas and an engineer was on site to ensure the work is up to standards. I felt much better after speaking with this person, they seemed confident in the work and the direction things are headed. This person seemed extremely down to earth and has no incentive to lie, so I will take their word for it and hope for the best.

The slab between the ground floor and second floor is insanely thick, it must be close to a metre! It will be interesting to see how quickly they start doing walls and fill in on the lower floors as progress is made.

I'll need some concrete evidence of the repairs before I make a firm decision.

Three slabs of concrete walk into the bar.

They sit down, order some beers, and begin boasting about their strength. Suddenly, a small bit of green tarmac walks in, and the slabs hide under the table.

The green tarmac orders its drinks and leaves, and the slabs immediately get up. The bartender is astonished and asks them.

“What happened there? I thought you were all tough.”

One replies, “We might be tough, but he’s a cycle path.”

This is curious. Pacific House is seeking approvals for 16 additional units across two floors, and gifting one unit to the township.

Will the building be getting taller or the units much smaller?

That makes sense. This project always seemed too short.

Looks like the are proposing to add two floors. Very interesting, not sure what to make of this as I've never ever seen it in my entire career. They already have concrete poured up to the 6th floor. I bought a unit on the 7th floor and looks like they are proposing inserting an extra two floors above the 7th floor, you can download the drawings in the link Mike posted.

I assume their is no compensation for existing owners due to increased delay of occupancy this would result in.

Nothing like buying a “top floor” unit only to have two floors added above you.

They are inserting extra floors below the subpenthouse so if you bought the subpenthouse or penthouse your elevation increases by two floors and you have no one above you. I bought on the 7th floor and was suppose to have the subpenthouse and penthouse above me and now I will have the two extra floors, supenthouse + penthouse. Doesn't seem like the end of the world?

Mind you more people using elevators. The 16 new units won't have parking, etc.

I mean, if we have developers walking away from affordability promises and changing designs post-approvals, it makes sense eventually there wound be requests like this.

Salient successfully received approvals for an additional floor while excavating for their Fort Street tower. Different scenario than what’s going on here but along the same line.

Oh ya that’s fine then.

You are just going from sub sub penthouse to sub sub sub sub penthouse with no elevation change.
