That might cause a collective myocardial infarction at the ADP.
I'm just saying the new building could utilize a bit of neon to make a half-decently meaningful tribute to the service-station-turned-retro-diner while also making a half-decently meaningful statement re: context & continuity. And who knows? Years from now the new neon lights could end up becoming endearing things unto themselves, the sort of stuff that people might get nostalgic about.
But you're right, slapping a picture of the old service station on a utility box would probably be a more respectful/sensitive approach.

(It really would be nice if the service station building could be relocated.)

It's right about now when I tend to have a squawking fit like Donald Duck, wondering why I put up with the goofy comments on this Mickey Mouse message board.

Not that I expect Mike K. and his moderators to do anything about it. They're too busy swimming in piles of money.*

According to Disney, “Goofy was created as a human character, as opposed to Pluto, who was a pet.” ... I mean, they're both dogs, but Goofy can actually communicate with others and walk on his two feet whereas Pluto can only bark and make somewhat discernible noises and has to walk on all fours
Are you saying all dogs are not created equal, that's

The submitted design is a little different from the design posted yesterday. Missing is the variability in the facade elements and the podium's design no longer includes the large wall overlooking the intersection.

The road in these images is throwing me off. I keep thinking the shots of the View Street frontage are Cook Street because of the images showing View with four lanes.
Last image is Cook/View right?

^Yes, looking northwest. The old Tara Place apartment is on the right.

that's kind of the only way that elevation can be shown. the other 3 corners don't have access for that kind
of image.

Still awesome....if this doesn't get voted through I am running for council next time.

Would you run for council regardless?

so why don't we let the car dealerships sub-divide their properties so we can have a few of these nibbling into the corners of some of the lots?

I am pretty excited about this one and hope it goes through quickly.
This end of the town Victoria has been lacking a Vib and I can as it fills in from Cook to Pandora, it will become and exciting area to live.

Southwest in the last image, and the dual lanes also threw me for a loop.
