I heard they closed both the Johnson Street and Bay Street bridges yesterday at the same time. That must have been a mess.

It was a mess. It's been strangely under-reported by the local MSM.

I didn't realize any unions were on strike as a part of this protest. Can't cross a picket line that doesn't exist!

“Scab?” Is that the term for someone crossing a picket line?
It's the term for someone hired by the employer to do the work of those striking, aka a "strike breaker" sometimes. It's being thrown around incorrectly on Twitter (surprise surprise).

I don't think there's a specific word describing someone that attempts to pass through a blockade, like Popham was doing in that remarkable video. Very sticky situation. I think that's why Vic PD is not wielding a heavy hand as any action they take will reflect on the provincial government and they don't want to make their job any harder right now.
