His pension overrides all. He needs 6 years.

That’s irrelevant though because he won’t reach 6 this term. He has to win re-election. No idea if Burnaby South would flip blue.

Trudeau has ethics and morals?

He has ethics violations. Does that count?

Trudeau extended the term by a week to push MPs into the sixth year, I thought?

He’s got 16 months. It’s an eternity in politics. I don’t see why he’d resign now when his party is nearly guaranteed a loss no matter who they replace him with.

Presumably he wants another job. Might be easier to get without a historic election loss on the resume.

It’s not like he is returning to practice law!

And his pension is already secure.

I don’t think that matters for Singh himself though as he was elected in 2019 - by election I think.

I’m sure he can find a drama teacher job.

Yes, but I thought he was trying to secure it for his MPs.

Could be. I’m not sure the NDP will lose too many seats though. Most probably get re-elected and maybe they even pickup some different ridings at the Liberals expense.

As much as I’d like to send Laurel Collins packing…. She’s also in a must win scenario to get a pension.

Which may be the saddest thing of all.

Lower the voting age, put the voting stations in the schools, give them UBI out of school and then advertise that the conservatives will take it away.

And tell them the "rich" will pay for everything.

The conservative response is "the Liberals just took the NDP socialist playbook and made it their own".

A playbook that has never served the federal NDP all that well. When in doubt, go for the losing strategy I guess.

Trudeau says he’s going to keep going.

Famous last words.  Even Canada’s preeminent narcissist can’t ignore the voters and his own members forever.

If it worsens the fortunes for the Liberals, I hope Sockboy stays on until the bitter end.
