Not a great choice of words, is it?
This morning they quietly changed the headline to something more appropriate: “Conservative leadership candidate Jean Charest tests positive for COVID-19.”

National home prices have officially doubled under Trudeau. It took just over 6 years.

Looks like they about doubled in the six years before that, too.

You think cause of Trudeau? The average house in the country is $870k? Is that right?

Last night, the CBC ran an article titled “Conservative leadership hopeful Jean Charest tests positive for COVID-19.”
I’ve noticed than whenever a notable or famous person (e.g. the queen, Prince Charles, U.S. Defence sec, many well known actors, sports stars) the symptoms are invariably described as mild and the person is back to work in a jiffy. For the rest of us though, it’s practically the Black Death, requiring a battery of restrictive measures and practices. Funny how that works.

There have been many politicians who have died of Covid... Not sure if you are not wanting to look for them... Just look in the US for some examples.. A few world leaders too, mostly African I think... Easy to not listen to that news I suppose.

Whatever. You just don't hear about the 'rest of us' who were back to work in a jiffy. I was off work for 1.5 days. meh.

Of course, these are exactly the sort of stories that we should be hearing.

Yep. So much money has been printed by the Libs in order to fuel their spending that it has created massive asset bubbles. All perfectly predictable and something they will now use inflation to try and discount.

Oh,oh. Barack Obama and the husband of VP Harris just tested positive. Keep us posted if they succumb to the plague.

I bet a lot more people would have seasonal flu if it was tested for in the same way as COVID.

Prominent commentator Jordan Peterson has called on Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to resign in the aftermath of his handling of the Freedom Convoy protests in Ottawa.
Why is this done by Australian media and not Canadian?

You don’t read graphs very well.
Definitely missed that the legend was in 2 year intervals.

FWIW, the US home price index rose by approx 80% in the same time frame. S&P/Case-Shiller U.S. National Home Price Index (CSUSHPINSA) | FRED | St. Louis Fed (stlouisfed.org)
Canada was a couple more % per year, but relatively comparable.

A surprise to virtually nobody, the inflation rate has now jumped from 5.1% to 5.7%.
We can double that to be within striking range of the real deal. If you really want to budget for the next 12 months, grow your expense expectations by 15%.
