^ I feel the same way about my cable, Microsoft, mobile phone and any other bundled service I subscribe to. I should be able to pick exactly the services I want and pay the price I want without being told that I have to pick something preconfigured for me!

B.C. Amazon driver accused of stealing 32 packages, selling them online

Driver allegedly marked deliveries as complete, but pocketed the items instead

The online retailer told police it believed the driver was marking deliveries as complete, but not actually dropping the packages off. Instead, Amazon said, it thought the driver was reselling the packages on Facebook Marketplace.

Had a next-day package coming Friday. Then it never arrived, but they then said Monday. Then it never arrived and they now say today. But no delivery window. I think I’ve seen this once before, it just never arrived.

Should be able to claim a refund.

Oh ya I’m not worried. I can probably try to claim some additional compensation.

Now it says my package is delayed ("running late") but still coming.  No date though.

If it’s coming via the subcontractors you might have to wait a while. Itellicom can be real boners.

TODAY:    Your package is returning to Amazon because of one of the following reasons: Damaged in-transit, carrier could not locate your address, or refused by the recipient.

I received a refund and I ordered one of the items again, it has arrived.

I also bought some pants.  I was not sure what size to order, but Amazon seemed to know my size.  ??   I went with their recommendation.  They arrived, good fit.

Carlos Mejia of Queens used a bat to hold the guy who grabbed the decoy package on Saturday, but Mejia said he's "done" with thieves following FedEx and UPS trucks to nab packages left on his porch.

It's a frustrating issue that impacts online customers across the country. In New York City alone, an estimated 90,000 packages are lost or stolen each day, according to the NYC Department of Transportation.

"I was just trying to make an example for those out there doing the same thing… stealing from others," Mejia told Storyful.

90,000 per day. Crazy. Then you don’t even know what you are getting. And have to fence it after. Seems to me traditional shoplifting might be easier.

When you factor in the double-digit percentage of those packages that contain damaged contents, contents that will be returned for myriad other reasons, or simply the wrong contents altogether, we're truly living in the most cartoonishly inefficient moment in human history. And yet we're constantly patting ourselves on the back for how awesomesauce it is.

There should just be conveyor belts running through every neighbourhood with all possible goods on it all the time 24/7. Then just pick off what you need. You can also make returns the same way.
