The husband of a teacher called in to CFAX today, so say teachers are too busy teaching to be indoctrinating kids with ideology.
Thoughts?
The ideology is in the curriculum, so by definition “teaching” is indoctrinating.

Here's my problem, 20 something years ago kids started getting participation trophies at events
I've been seeing the attitude in workers today that they deserve something for just showing up to work, they can backtalk or yell and scream at their boss or whatever
Guess what, life doesn't work that way. You might get turned down for a date, you might not get the job you applied for, you might get turned down for a mortgage. There are no participation trophies in life, there are simply winners and losers.
Someone also told me schools can't even hold kids back a grade anymore. I can see where the attitude of millennials all come from now - its taught in school

No hold-backs up to 4th grade. Which makes some sense to me.

It’s more than 4th grade.
Well, it is legislated to not occur under 4th grade, from 4-12 the principal makes the final decision, but it can be appealed by parents.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) has once again repeated the false claim that Indigenous bodies have been discovered at the former sites of residential schools in Canada.
During an interview with Peaky Blinders actor Cillian Murphy about his role in the film Small Things Like These, CBC’s Eli Glasner attempted to draw a parallel by propping up the false claim.
Glasner stated that Canada is “still finding the bodies of Indigenous children in the ground,” despite the fact that no remains have been discovered at any site, and the only excavations that have been done to prove that such exists have come up empty.
“I’ve read a lot about that in Canada,” Murphy responded.
Since releasing the interview, the CBC appears to have deleted that specific comment and response from their interview.
