Not a chance I'm spending $150 on pants.

It's a nightmare finding anything that fits too.

Well worth it.  They last forever and the fit/quality is second to none.  Balances out the 8 year old minivan and $6 t shirts. :)

My Buffalo brand jeans from Costco are 10 years old and going strong. 30 bucks maybe, if that.

The Costco Western Star are my go to as well, the Duer’s are similar to those with a better fit for me. The gusset is what makes them, though.

Sounds like this guy was a good one.

Evan Hammond, a popular radio host in Port Alberni for more than two decades and the play-by-play announcer for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs hockey team, died on Friday after what his family described as a sudden medical emergency. Hammond was 45.

The father of three children was a proud resident of Port Alberni and a dedicated member of the Pattison Media team at 93.3 The PEAK for more than 22 years, David Wiwchar, operations manager and news director of the radio station, said in a statement.

A statement from the society this week said the agreement builds on a successful 12‑year partnership that has helped strengthen community access to sport and recreation. “This renewed commitment supports ongoing brand visibility while creating valuable media and promotional opportunities for events at the Q Centre Arena,” the society said.

Rob Bye, general manager of The Q radio station, said the company was pleased to sign another deal in the region’s fastest-growing area.

“It’s important to us to have this partnership with a very busy facility that serves Langford and Colwood and other communities,” said Bye. “It’s home to some tremendous organizations like the Shamrocks, Grizzlies and minor sports. It’s a great community facility, and that aligns with what’s important to us.”

He said The Q is a “legacy brand” in the region, and will mark its 40th year on air next year.

Bye said naming rights for the next decade will help the station to continue its long-standing tradition of playing music, reporting news and supporting community events. He said that legacy is also reflected in long-time staff like Ed Bain, Cliff LeQuesne and Scott James.

“We don’t take that community association for granted,” said Bye.
