Encompassing a sprawling 29 acres, Norway Island offers ample space for exploration. Most of the island is adorned with coastal Douglas Fir, Arbutus (Madrona), and red cedar, and has a lush and diverse natural environment. The island's developments are situated in the northern part, close toa protected private harbour. Norway Island's many amenities include, a 60-foot protected all-tide dock, a tennis court., an in-ground swimming pool and three existing dwellings. The residences comprise a substantial 5,500-square-foot main residence with six bedrooms and expansive living areas, a charming 1,200-square-foot log home constructed in the late 1990s, and an older caretaker's residence. Ancillary structures include a generator building and chicken coop. The primary residence, built in 1966, and several other structures may require upgrades and repairs, providing an opportunity for a new owner's vision. Norway Island distinguishes itself from many private islands, having hydroelectric power supplied via a submarine power cable from nearby Thetis Island. Additional infrastructure includes five drilled water wells and ample water storage capacity, ensuring sustainability and self-sufficiency. On neighboring islands surrounding Norway, you'll find local beaches, convenience stores, restaurants, and pubs adding to the convenience and enjoyment of island living. The island's proximity to ferry access, marine services, and off-island accommodations further enhances its accessibility and appeal as a unique and idyllic Gulf Islands retreat.
