The parcels were formerly where Gateway Green was approved, nearly 20 years ago.

It was not easy finding images/renderings of the previous proposal and history of this site. For posterity I include the following.

I didn't notice that yellow umbrella down at the sidewalk level on Blanshard there. That would be a pretty sweet spot to chill and people watch, you think?*

Looks like a good fit for the location height and design wise.

Wow this has to be one of the nicer buildings we have seen recently. There looks like some actual thought and design went into it. I wish we could have seen something more pulled together like this for the YMCA site.

For both this and the YMCA project, the proof will be in the pudding.

This would be an amazing addition to the city. Hopefully it gets approved as is!

Wouldn't that be something if it actually got built, check back in ten years for a progress report ...

I would argue this corner would be a great location for a not too high end hotel.

Near SOFA, Chinatown and Hudson so nearby amenities/demand drivers on main driver in an out of Victoria.

With new short term rental restrictions, a new hotel may make sense I would think but I do not know the economics of it all.
