The Mondrian | 10-storeys; 30m | Residential, commercial
Return to the Construction Projects list.
The Mondrian is is rising at the corner of Johnson and Cook streets. Designed to appear like a Mondrian-inspired painting (a grid of squares painted with three primary colours), the tower features colour queues and vibrancy not common with development projects in Victoria. The building will consist of 93 residential units with a groundfloor commercial base.
Developer Alpha Developments purchased the property in the late 2000’s after a previous proposal by a different development firm fell through.

May 17, 2013 at 8:19 pmI'm still not getting why the upper parts of the windows on the ground floor are covered over. But all in all it looks very good. It makes me optimistic about the eventual redevelopment of the other car lots and the various other Harris Green sites.

May 20, 2013 at 8:37 pmIt's amazing how much business CushWake is generating. Some established commercial real-estate outfits must be getting a little nervous seeing a new entrant snaps up so many new listings.
