There is also a reason why December was high and Jan/Feb dropped off.
December has the bonus paycheque, and lots of food etc, being given out. January has that long wait for your next cheque.

Back to the car-sleeping issue. I checked out a quiet Robbins lot the other day as I walked by. It seems fantastic for car-sleeping.
And it works 24 hours. I could not tell exactly what the cost would be for, say, 9pm to 7am, but it looks like it's $9.50 or less.

Now, I'm thinking... the 800 and 900 blocks of Pandora and Johnson are not exactly booming. The Market, in the 900-block Yates has uniformed security guards now, they never had them before last year.
They've been there since at least 2014.

OK, well they got through the first 15 years of operation without them.

I think more that anything it just goes to show how long the issue has been allowed to build to where we are today. The signs have been around for a long time.

Market on Yates has had uniformed security guards for years. I've seen some pretty wicked takedowns there as well...

I guess I've never noticed. I have to admit, I've probably bought from there like 12 times in my life. Yet London Drugs next door maybe 100 times.
When is my dollar store re-opening?

Theft is a huge issue there. Many, many people are banned from that store.

New park adjacent to the Victoria courthouse should be ready well before election day

There's someone whose has been car sleeping in our buildings parking lot for the the past few days. Newer model vehicle, they get there very late and leave very early, park in a corner, don't leave a mess etc. I don't mind having an extra pair of eyes down there after all the auto theft we've dealt with lately, unless they start doing it

I was at Walmart today, just as I was getting out of the car a guy in his late 20's comes up to me and starts in with a story about how he lost his job and needs some cash to put gas in his car. As I'm semi listening to him I see the sign at Walmart saying "now hiring all positions, full time, part time"
I point him toward the sign and he says "I'm not working at Walmart"
I denied his request for aid.

As a poster at ILVI says, there is no shortage of FNations land in Duncan. Take your tent city there.
