Let's face it; the facade is the most valuable heritage aspect of the site. Freeing up the site allows many creative opportunities.
I would prefer the Janion be made into loft condos with that great staircase restored. A new streetwall would have to be created and I recall aastra may already have a rendering in his vast storehouse of dream concepts.
That little HBC warehouse is amazing. I haven't seen anything like it anywhere in the world.

This is clearly the best possible outcome for this property. I assume you are prepared for the uphill battle with City Hall over this, but I have faith you'll be successful.

This is great news! Now maybe this entire area near the new bridge will come back to life.
